Enabling Bluetooth

The Bluetooth support was added in the SoMLabs-VisionSOM-6ULL-Debian-2020-01 system image. To enable the modem we can simply call the bluetooth_run.sh script located in the /root directory:

(This script is available in versions older than SoMLabs-VisionSOM-6ULL-Debian-2020-02 - in newer system versions this configuration is done automatically)

root@visionsom:~# /root/bluetooth_run.sh
bcm43xx_init
Set Controller UART speed to 3000000 bit/s
Flash firmware /etc/firmware/1DX_BCM4343W/BCM43430A1.1DX.hcd
Set Controller UART speed to 3000000 bit/s
Device setup complete

We can check the initialization by calling the hcitool dev command in order to display available Bluetooth devices:

root@visionsom:~# hcitool dev
Devices:
		hci0 43:43:A1:12:1F:AC
